Olympic National Park has it all--rainforest, glaciers, lakes and rugged coastline in over 900,000 acres. The area was home to American Indians for thousands of years where they enjoyed abundant fishing, hunting and gathering for sustenance. Juan Perez was the first European to visit here in 1774, following him came American and English explorers. In 1938 FDR designated it a National Park.
