Emma SCHULTZ was born March 16,
1861 in Wisconsin according to her confirmation certificate. She
was the daughter of John Schultz and Mary (Maria S.) Klahre.
She had a sister and brother, Mary and Henry, and five half sisters
Ida, Sophia, Louisa, Augusta, Clara Wiese, and a half brother, Fritz Wiese.
Emma was married to Andrew Frederick Meierding on April 12, 1888 in Falls City, Nebraska. A copy of their wedding certificate was in Andrew's possession when he died in 1952; you can see it on Andrew Meierding's page. This photograph was taken at Brown Photographers in Falls City, Nebraska where she lived as a child and a wife raising her three children. She later moved to Chicago and then Kankakee, Illinois. She died about December 15, 1935 (depending on how long before her burial she died) in Kankakee, Kankakee, IL (Source: Cemetery records Burial #10801). Both Andrew Meierding and Emma Schultz Meierding are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois in unmarked graves. |
